Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that the Cabinet Sub Committee on implementing Article 371 (J) is seriously considering increasing the age limit of unemployed youths in the Hyderabad Karnataka region to fill identified vacant jobs in different government departments.

In a written reply to an unstarred question from BJP MLC Amarnath Patil in the Legislative Council recently, Mr. Siddaramaiah said that it has come to the notice of the government that there is a growing concern among unemployed youths who are on the verge of crossing the age limit eligibility for jobs due to the delay in completing recruitment to identified vacant posts in the government departments.

Mr. Patil had said that there was a provision for increasing the age limit and wanted to know what action was proposed.
