Heavy rain in Shivamogga district

Heavy rain lashed the district on Saturday evening owing to which life was paralysed.

Power supply was disrupted for sometime in parts of Tirthahalli and Bhadravati towns and in Anavatti hobli limits as trees were uprooted by strong wind accompanied rain. Agumbe and Linganamakki each received 4 cm rain in the past 24 hours.

The water level in Linganamakki reservoir was at 1,780 ft as against the maximum level of 1,819 ft. An inflow of 9,675 cusecs was recorded here. The water level in Bhadra reservoir was at 146 ft and an inflow of 4,464 cusecs was recorded here.
