Annies K. Joy, Assistant Commissioner, inaugurated Gandhi Jayanti celebrations in Bidar on Friday.
She spoke about Gandhiji’s life and contribution to the freedom struggle. Mallikarjun Khuba, MLA, was present.
Gandhi Jayanti was also celebrated in Siddarth College, government high school, Kamathana, and other schools.
Youth Congress leader Mohammad Irshad and others celebrated Gandhi Jayanti in the Congress office. Mr. Khuba, Ashok Kodge and others were present in JD-S office. BJP members celebrated Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti in the party office.
Shivakumar Swamy Yernalli, Deepak Chidri and others were present.
