Free cancer check-up camp

Preethi Centre for Oncology has organised a free cancer check-up camp on its premises on Vani Vilas Road, Lakshmipuram, on April21. Patients suffering from abnormal bleeding, swelling, lump or hardness in any part of the body, change of voice, difficulty in swelling or sore throat are advised to utilise the services of the camp. Diabetic camp

Chess tournament

The Mysore District Chess Association will be conducting a district-level Open Chess tournament on April 24 at R.V.Ganesh Memorial Hall, Mahajana High School in Jayalakshmipuram here. The tournament will begin at 8.30 am, according to a statement from the Association’s Honorary Secretary K.R. Shivarame Gowda. The tournament will be conducted in association with the Mahajana Education Society’s Old student’s Association. There will be cash prizes for the winners and trophies for U-15, U-13, U-11, U-9, U-7 age category winners. Players are informed to bring their own chess sets. For details, call 9035014436.
