Shobha Karandlaje, MP and senior BJP leader, said that a delegation of BJP MPs and leaders will soon meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and apprise them about the situation in Karnataka wherein ‘honest and sincere’ officers were being targeted by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his Cabinet colleagues.

The delegation will appeal to them to warn the State government of serious consequences, Ms. Shobha said.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Ms. Shobha alleged that many IAS and IPS officials had started seeking either shifting their jobs to Union government departments or voluntary retirement services.

Officials who refuse to do unlawful deeds were being targeted. They were being harassed to such the extent to which they would be forced to take the extreme step of suicide, she alleged.

Referring to D.K. Ravi’s death, she alleged that the government, after burying evidence, handed over the case to the CBI.

The case of Mallikarjun Bande, who was killed in a shootout is yet to be investigated, she said. Similarly IAS officers Rashmi and C. Shikha, were attacked in Mysuru, and the police have not yet arrested the accused so far, she said.
