An initiative called “Swachh Mysuru Dasara” has been launched to educate people on cleanliness ahead of this year’s Dasara festivities. Naren Foundation said it will be launching this awareness campaign on cleanliness among the public and help the local civic body in clearing the garbage the next morning along the Dasara procession route.

“Many like-minded individuals are joining us to volunteer and also our partner institution, SBRR Mahajana First Grade College, Mysuru, has assured us of providing 500 student volunteers. Any groups or organisations can join us in this endeavour,” a press release stated.

“Tasks like planning, organising and executing the whole initiative is huge. We need support in creating awareness consistently to make every citizen responsible pertaining to keeping the city clean,” the release added.
