The Academy of Sanskrit Samshodhana Samsath at Melkote, near Pandavapura in the district, has established a separate section for literary works on Sri Ramanujacharya, the chief proponent of Vishishtadvaita Philosophy.

According to a release issued here, Padma Shekhar, Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka Sanskrit University, inaugurated the ‘Ramanuja Grantha Vibhaga’ recently.

The State government had established the academy to promote Sanskrit, in 1977, at the popular pilgrimage centre Melkote.

The academy has since published over 150 research works on the language besides organising various seminars and symposiums.
