Bagalkot boys win regional finals of TCS quiz

Prasanna Joshi and Hrishikesh Malagi of Basaveshwar Engineering College, Bagalkot, have won the Hubballi regional finals of the ‘TCS Techbytes IT Quiz’.

In the regional finals held here recently, the second place went to Sameer Kulkarni and Vinod Patil of BVB College of Engineering and Technology, Hubballi.

The quiz was organised by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and the Board for IT Education Standards (BITES), an autonomous agency promoted by the State government, for engineering students in Karnataka.

Apart from the winner’s trophy, the Bagalkot team also received a scholarship of Rs.12,000. The runners-up received a scholarship of Rs. 8,000. The other four teams that made it to the final round received gift hampers and certificates. The winning team will now take part in the State-level finals, to be held in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
