11 entrepreneurs take part in summit

The first Manipal Entrepreneurship Summit was held at the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) Library auditorium here on April 16 with 11 entrepreneurs, most of them alumni of the university, taking part in the day-long meet.

The event was organised by the Manipal University Alumni Relations for those students keen to venture out into their own businesses.

The panellists were: T. Gautham S. Pai, Director, Manipal Medial Network Ltd; T. Sachin Pai, Managing Director of Best Sellers Apparels; Ketan Mehta, Director of Ecosense Labs Pvt Ltd; Sudhir Shetty; Founder of Kirthi Constructions; Gopal Krishna, CEO Global 3D Labs; Jeetendra Nayak, Founder of Minar Automotors; Vijay Raghav Varda, CEO of Fracktal Works; Sarthak Paul, CEO of Mean Metal Motors; Venugopal Ramakrishna, Director of Poseidon Solar; Kartik Mandeville, Director of SpringRole and angel investor; G. Ram Chaitanya Reddy, Chairman of ATFPL.

The Q&A session was filled with questions from the ever curious and enthusiastic crowd.

The panel discussion gave the idea about the monetary aspects of a start-up, and made the students aware about how to look for investors, convince them, and take informed decisions.
