BJP MP urges probe into Rahul-Haschke link

May 04, 2016 12:49 am | Updated November 17, 2021 05:01 am IST - New Delhi:

BJP MP Kirit Somaiya has sought a probe to ascertain why AgustaWestland middlemen Guido Haschke was employed as a director by Emaar-MGF that is “closely linked to Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s aide Kanishka Singh”. Kanishka Singh has denied any links with the company. The BJP MP had first written to CBI in 2013 demanding investigations into the same allegations. He approached ED on April 30, 2016, again seeking investigations.

The ED has taken cognisance of the complaint and initiated an inquiry to ascertain veracity of the allegations. Mr Haschke was appointed a director in Emaar MGF on September 25, 2009 and resigned in December 2009.

Another accused Gautam Khaitan was appointed as an additional director in Emaar MGF on September 3, 2009. He was re-designated as director on November 25, 2009.
