Youth Cong. launches SMS campaign

Former Ministers S. Sailajanath and Kondru Murali launched the one-crore short message services (SMSes) programme, jointly organised by the Youth Congress and the NSUI, demanding special category status (SCS) for the State, at R.K. Degree College here on Tuesday. Addressing students, NSUI and Youth Congress activists, Mr. Sailajanath said both the BJP and the TDP, who had supported bifurcation, had made the Congress a scapegoat.

He recalled how BJP leader M. Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had demanded SCS for the State for 10 years and 15 years, respectively, then, he said.
