‘Varalakshmi Vratam’ at Tiruchanur on Aug. 28

The much awaited religious ‘Varalakshmi Vratam’ will be observed at the Asthana Mandapam of Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple in Tiruchanur on August 28. Reviewing the arrangements at the venue here on Saturday, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams JEO Pola Bhaskar instructed officials to issue tickets on first-come-first serve basis from August 25 (10 a.m.) onwards at the counter inside the temple, supplemented by identify proof of devotees. Those who have procured tickets should don traditional attire and bring their original identity proofs on August 28.

Mr. Bhaskar further directed the engineering department officials to complete minor repair works at the earliest, so as to complete the necessary arrangements by August 25.

“Besides this, illumination arches and floral decorations will also be setup to mark the special occasion along with LED screens, for the devotees to witness the rituals,” he added.

TTD management has cancelled rituals like Lakshmi Puja, Kalyanotsavam, Abhishekanantara Darshanam, Laksha Kumkuamrchana and Unjal Seva.

The procession of Golden Chariot will be held by 6 pm in the evening, of the same day. TTD Special Grade Deputy EOs Chenchu Lakshmi, Munirathnam Reddy, Bhaskar Reddy, SE III Sudhakar Rao, SE Electricals Venkateswarulu, Garden Deputy Director Srinivasulu and other officials took part.
