The excitement grew among an enthusiastic group of travel weary girls at the The Hindu’s Summer Smart Camp at the VP South Campus of the AP Social Welfare Residential schools at Nagarjuna Sagar as senior photographer P. Siva Kumar took them through the origins of Photography- from a pinhole camera to the latest state of the art digital camera .
The students were taught the basics- like taking a snap shot, holding the camera, focussing the subject and keeping a right vision through the viewfinder.
They were also taken through the basic technicalities of aperture and shutter speed control of light.
The Hindu summer smart camp provided a unique learning experience for the girls in photography, theatre, quiz and English.
In the session on Know Your English, the day started with two minutes prepared speech by every student. In the session on Quiz, three semi finals were conducted to the A, B and C groups.
