Sriharikota readies for launch

PSLV-C32 scheduled for take off on March 10

Rehearsals for the launch of PSLV-C32 rocket are successfully going on at the Sathish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) at Sriharikota in the district on Monday. The actual launch is scheduled for March 10 at 4 p.m. In this launch, the rocket will put into orbit the sixth satellite of the 7-series Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS-1F).

The satellite and rocket assembly operations have been taken up with the countdown for the final launch likely to begin on Tuesday.

A.S. Kiran Kumar, Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), will arrive at the space centre in two days. Senior space scientists from different space centres across the country have already arrived at Sriharikota to take part in the rocket launch.
