The Telangana government has sanctioned Rs 15 lakh to Smita Sabharwal, Additional Secretary to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, towards her legal expenses for filing a civil suit against the management of the Outlook for posting an article and a cartoon about her in July 6 edition of the magazine.
A government order said Ms. Sabharwal had intended to file the suit worth Rs 10 crore against the magazine which required a deposit of Rs 9.75 lakh towards the court fee, while other legal expenses would amount to Rs 5 lakh.
