Row over TDP councillor filming YSRC counterpart

September 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated March 28, 2016 02:43 pm IST - GUNTUR:

A heated argument ensued between councillors of the Telugu Desam Party and the YSR Congress, after a ruling party councillor reportedly filmed the woman councillor belonging to the opposition, outside the council hall in Ponnur, on Monday.

The incident took place just after the council meet when members of both the parties, who had taken part in a debate over shortage of drinking water were coming out.

Some of the councillors were still arguing over the issue outside the hall, when TDP councillor Md. Ghouse started filming Aneela Kumari, YSRC councillor from Ward No. 8, on his mobile camera.

This enraged Ms. Kumari’s husband, Joseph, who was around.

He came rushing down the stairs and questioned the TDP councillor for his act, leading to a ruckus.

The matter was later settled after the TDP councillor tendered an apology to Ms. Kumari.
