Tarigonda Vengamamba remembered

Rich tributes were paid to saint poetess Tarigonda Vengamamba on her 198th death anniversary at Tirumala on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Tirumala-based TTD Joint Executive Officer K.S. Srinivasa Raju lauded her services in the field of ‘Annavitarana’ and said that as a mark of her dedicated works ‘Mutyala Harati’ is being offered to the presiding deity Lord Venkateswara daily during the ‘Ekanta Seva’ inside the hill temple.

Tirupati-based JEO Pola Bhaskar recalled the rich contributions of the saint poetess who he said had penned several poems.
