People asked to abide by model code

Superintendent of Police Tafseer Iqbal has said that awareness camps for voters in hypersensitive and sensitive polling stations in the division were conducted and directed people to abide by the model code. He inspected polling stations in Denkada, Poosapatirega and Bhogapuram mandals and interacted with voters at Jonnada, Polipalli, and Tippalavalasa villages. He asked them not to succumb to intimidations and cooperate with the police for peaceful polling on April 11.

Election observer K. Dhananjay Reddy said that arrangements for peaceful polling at all the 1,052 polling stations in the revenue division. He visited a few polling stations at Cheepurupalli, Garividi, and Nellimarla in the morning.

Campaigning for the 19 ZPTCs and 317 MPTCs in Vizianagaram Revenue division ended this evening. TDP leader P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, DCC president K. Veerabhadra Swamy, and YSRCP convenor P. Sambasiva Raju campaigned in the division .
