The ‘Mee Intiki Mee Bhoomi’ programme will ensure settlement of land records by weeding out irregularities, said Minister for Environment and Forests Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy.
Speaking at a function at the Yempedu Primary Health Centre in Srikalahasthi mandal on Wednesday, Mr. Reddy urged farmers to come forward and make good use of the IT-enabled programme.
“The credit for such a facility, which can be found nowhere in the country, should go to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. All issues, including land disputes and transactions, will be rectified through the programme,” he said. Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) Anil Chandra Puneta said the 1B details (moving away from pattadar passbooks), uploaded via an internet portal, would prove crucial in the coming days. “People can view details, as everything is available online. In addition, Rs. 20 crore has been sanctioned for purchasing the Electronic Total System (ETS), which is used for surveying 150 acres per day,” he added.
