Logicash staff attacked in Pulivendula, Rs. 53 lakh stolen

In a daring daylight robbery in Pulivendula town in Kadapa district, unknown motorcycle-borne persons attacked two employees of Logicash, a cash management service provider, with iron rods after sprinkling chilli powder in their eyes and decamped with a suitcase containing cash of Rs. 53 lakh from them on Monday.

Vikram and Srinivas, withdrew the amount from a bank and were proceeding on a motorcycle to place it in the bank’s ATM near Pulivendula bus stand, when they were allegedly intercepted and attacked.

On being alerted about the robbery, Pulivendula circle inspector Prasad and sub-inspectors Anil Kumar and S. Venkata Naidu rushed to the spot and shifted Vikram and Srinivas to the area hospital at Pulivendula for treatment.

Pulivendula police registered a case and took up investigation. Police are examining why the two employees were carrying so much amount without any security.
