: The Akhila Bharati Kuchipudi Natya Kala Mandali will offer a dance tribute to Kuchipudi maestro Vedantam Laxminarayana Sastri, marking his 60th death anniversary to be observed here on July 9.
The two-day classical dance festival would remember the services of the maestro who introduced women in the classical dance of Kuchipudi. On July 9, Kathak by Swetha Venkatesh, Kuchipudi by Deepa Sesheendran and Rekha Sateesh and Bharatanatyam would be performed here. Kuchipudi Art Academy, Chennai, will also take part in the festival.
