Cong files cheating cases against Centre, A.P.

Congress activists led by its Kondepi Assembly constituency in-charge G.V. Raj Vimal filed a case against the Union and State Governments for allegedly cheating the people of the state when they are struggling to cope with the difficulties to bifurcation .

SP Ch. Srikanth said legal opinion would be sought on the matter. ''No cognizable offence has been made out by the complainants,'' he said.

Mr Raj Vimal contended that the BJP-TDP alliance had ''cheated'' the people by not implementing the assurances given to the State by the Centre on the floor of the Rajya Sabha at the time of the passage of the AP Reorganisation Bill.
