Chinna Rajappa may get Home

June 11, 2014 01:12 am | Updated 01:12 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu continued his exercise of consultation with party’s senior leaders and Cabinet colleagues on the allocation of portfolios till late on Tuesday night.

Indications were that Mr. Naidu may allot the key Home portfolio to Deputy Chief Minister N. Chinna Rajappa and Finance to former Assembly Speaker Yanamala Ramakrishnudu. Incidentally Mr. Ramakrishnudu held this portfolio earlier too.

K. E. Krishnamurthy, the other Deputy Chief Minister, was believed to be reluctant to accept the Agriculture portfolio and may get Rural Development. Among the other senior legislators, Ayyanna Patrudu is likely to get Municipal Administration, Devineni Umamaheswar Rao Irrigation, P. Pulla Rao Industries, P. Sujatha Social Welfare and Paritala Sunitha Women and Child Welfare. The two BJP MLA s — K. Srinivasa Rao and P. Manikyala Rao — may be allotted Health and Endowments respectively.
