BSI auxiliary office opened in Guntur

The Andhra Pradesh Auxiliary office of the Bible Society of India (BSI) was inaugurated at Arundelpet 15th lane here on Monday.

Inaugurating the office which would be the headquarters of Andhra Pradesh, president of BSI, Reverend (Dr) PNS Bose, said that the office would act as the nodal centre for raising contributions for translation and printing the Holy Bible in English, Telugu, and other vernacular languages.

Reverend Bose said that United Bible Society (UBS) was the largest inter-denominational organisation in the world. The UBS has its presence in 200 countries.

District Collector Kantilal Dande, AMG International Director Arun Kumar Mohanty, and other Christian leaders conveyed their greetings at a meeting held at St. Mathews Centenary Lutheran Church. AP Auxiliary, BSI, president Meruga Johnson, secretary B. Rajasekhar, and treasurer Leela Bose were present.
