Actor Hema calls on Mudragada

Actor Hema called on Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham at his residence at Kirlampudi on Sunday.

A native of Razole in East Godavari district, Ms. Hema donned various characters in 450 films.

She also contested from the Mandapeta Assembly constituency on behalf of the Jai Samaikyandhra Party launched by the former Chief Minister, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, in the 2014 general elections. Though she had lost the election, she continued to make her presence felt on the political scene.

After attending a private function in Rajamahendravaram, Ms. Hema reached Kirlampudi and interacted with Mr. Padmanabham, who was on fast for 13 days recently seeking lifting of cases against the accused in the Tuni arson.

Ms. Hema expressed her solidarity with the movement launched by Mr. Padmanabham seeking inclusion of the Kapus in the list of BCs.

Being a Kapu, Ms. Hema said that she knew the ground realities and the socio economic conditions of the community in the State.
