Teacher dies as car rams electric pole

Balija Mahendranath, 38, a teacher in the Narayana e-Techno School at Adoni, was killed and Uma, a teacher in the Sri Chaitanya School at Tirupati, sustained injuries when the car in which they were travelling rammed an electric pole near Sirivella Metta in Kurnool district.

Mahendranath succumbed to injuries and Uma is being treated in the government hospital at Nandyal, according to the police. They were coming by car from Tirupati when the accident took place. The Sirivella police have registered a case and said the details of the family members of Mahendranath, who was married, were being ascertained.
