Allegations on Dawood Ibrahim links baseless: Maharashtra Minister Khadse

May 22, 2016 03:58 am | Updated September 12, 2016 07:43 pm IST - MUMBAI:

Reacting to the allegations of him being in touch with wanted fugitive Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, Maharashtra Minister Eknath Khadse on Saturday said that the allegations against him were totally baseless and untrue.

“I have not been using the number in question for the last one year. I also have written evidence from the cellular service provider that this number has not made or received any international call in the last one year. Ms. Menon[Preeti Sharma Menon] is still making baseless allegations against me, and I deny them,” said Mr. Khadse in a statement released on Saturday. “I have demanded that the State government and the Jalgaon police investigate who has been using this number,” he said.
