CRPF to probe mass leave by commandos

February 07, 2017 12:51 am | Updated 12:51 am IST - New Delhi:

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has ordered an inquiry into alleged misconduct by 59 trainee commandos of its elite jungle warfare and counter-Naxal squad CoBRA as they went on leave without informing the authorities.

The mass bunking led to a scare that the commandos were missing. The commandos, on way to duty after six-month training in Srinagar, are said to have decided at the Mughalsarai station to abandon their journey and leave for home.
