Three arrested for bus theft in Puducherry

Lawspet Police on Friday arrested three persons who allegedly stole a bus owned by the ruling AINRC MLA P.M.L.Kalyanasundaram’s father. Periyannan, father of Mr. Kalyanasundaram runs a travels and tour agency on ECR, Karuvadikuppam. The omnibus parked near his office was found missing since June 22 and a complaint was lodged.

An investigation led by Inspector Varadharajan revealed that a former driver Mohan (32) stole the vehicle using a duplicate key. He sold the bus to Manikandan, a bus owner of Keezhsathamangalam for Rs. 4 lakh and after making fake documents, the bus was sold to another person for Rs. 8 lakh.
