Special camp to enrol left out electors

February 13, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:41 am IST - PUDUCHERRY:

A special camp to enrol electors left out of the electoral rolls will be organised across polling stations on Sunday. The enrolments will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been directed to be present at their respective polling stations with all required forms, Chief Electoral Officer, V. Candavelou said.

Further, BLOs will distribute ‘Electors Photo Identity Cards’ (EPIC) of those new electors who have been enrolled and the names are in the final published electoral rolls as on January 11, but had not yet received their EPIC.

The CEC urged the public to to enroll their name, and obtain their EPIC at the Special Camp.

In respect of electors who have applied for enrolment after this date, the EPIC would be distributed after they have been enrolled through BLO at their doorstep during door-to-door rounds.
