Rangasamy resigns

Following the All India NR Congress’s debacle in Assembly polls, AINRC president and Chief Minister N. Rangasamy on Thursday tendered his resignation to Lieutenant Governor A.K. Singh. After the announcement of results, Mr. Rangasamy drove to Raj Nivas where he met Lt. Gen. Singh and tendered his resignation. It is learnt that the Lieutenant Governor asked Mr. Rangasamy to continue until a further arrangement is made.

Meanwhile, owning moral responsibility for the defeat, AINRC general secretary V. Bhalan resigned from the post.
