PWF convener seeks probe

May 21, 2016 12:00 am | Updated September 12, 2016 07:42 pm IST - PUDUCHERRY:

R. Viswanathan, convener of the People’s Welfare Front (PWF), on Friday said that the parties in the Front had accepted the verdict of people in the Assembly elections.

In a statement, he said the alliance was committed to offering alternative policies for the development of Puducherry. However, money power had won the elections.

He alleged that the EC had failed to curb the distribution of money to voters.

The poll panel and the Income Tax Department should order a thorough probe into the distribution of cash to voters, he said.
