Making a case for the continuation in office of Lieutenant Governor Virendra Kataria, M. Nazeem, DMK MLA from Karaikal, has sought the Governor’s intervention in ensuring a time-bound implementation of the multi-speciality hospital project in Karaikal.

In a statement, Mr. Nazeem said that the early completion of the project was vital to extend quality healthcare to the people of the region.

While thanking Mr. Kataria for having taken necessary initiatives for reviving the hospital in Karaikal which had been put on the backburner for several years, Mr. Nazeem pointed out that the construction of hospital project was in limbo for past few months.

The MLA was also all praise for Mr. Kataria’s timely initiatives in restoring the deteriorating law and order situation in the city a few months ago.

Campaign condemned

He condemned the ongoing campaign by some quarters to press for the Governor’s removal.

Mr. Nazeem hoped that these people would realise that the Governor’s continued presence in Puducherry would ensure the betterment of the people in the Union Territory.
