Jipmer nurse honoured

M. Sengamalarselvi, the Assistant Nursing Superintendent, Jipmer, was honoured with the National Florence Nightingale Award by President Pranab Mukherjee on the occasion of International Nurses Day at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.

She is among the 35 nurses chosen for the award which carries a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, a certificate, a citation and a medal.

Jipmer Director Dr. S.C. Parija felicitated Ms. Sengamalarselvi, for having won this award at a function here on Tuesday.

The Award has been instituted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfarein 1973 as a mark of recognition for the meritorious services of nurses.
