Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy on Friday alleged that the previous AINRC government headed by N. Rangasamy had failed to obtain adequate fund from Union Government for developmental programmes.

Modi’s strategy
Stating that he would fight with the Centre for getting more funds, Mr. Narayanasamy said he was following the strategy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who had fought and obtained funds from the Centre during his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister.
He added that the government would incur an additional expenditure of Rs. 500 crore for implementing the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission.
Simplicity
Recalling the simplicity of Kamaraj, Mr. Narayanasamy said when the leader passed away all he had were four dhothis and shirts. “Politicians should be selfless and should not come into politics with ulterior motives,” he said.
He added he and his ministers were working very hard to fulfil the aspirations of the people.
