The Puducherry unit of the AIADMK has criticised the opposition DMK, Congress and PMK for making unfounded allegations against the party in the context of the Rajya Sabha elections.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, AIADMK Deputy Legislative party leader A. Anbalagan said the whole scenario in the Rajya Sabha polls was clear with the AIADMK candidate N. Gokulakrishnan slated to win the polls. He thanked the leadership for providing an opportunity to the AIADMK to win the seat. He wanted to know whether the DMK and other parties were of clean hands. The left parties have been know for opportunistic tactics differing from state to state. Mr. Anbalagan said that the political acumen and clear approach of party supremo Jayalalithaa had resulted in the smooth election of N. Gokulakrishnan in the elections.
