Three more test positive for swine flu

Three more persons have tested positive for H1N1 (swine flu) in Puducherry, taking the number of those infected with the virus to 27.

Health Department sources said that three persons hailing from Murungapakkam, Ariyankuppam, and Kuruchikuppam have tested positive for the infection. The patients were undergoing treatment at the isolation ward set up at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) and the Government General Hospital. The families of the H1N1 infected patients will be administered medicine to prevent the spread of the flu, an official said.
