FIGHTING A CRISIS: Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy addresses the party cadre at the Extended Meeting of the Puducherry Congress Committee in Puducherry on Thursday.

The Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee will stage a demonstration on Saturday in all the 30 constituencies to protest against the currency crisis that prevails even after the conclusion of the demonetisation drive by the Centre.

A meeting of PCC held on Thursday has decided to hold demonstrations across the Union Territory to highlight the plight of people post-demonetisation. Apart from Ministers, several party legislators would participate in the protest.

The women’s wing of the party had been directed to hold protest on the issue on January 9.
