H1NI death toll five,three more test positive

The death toll because of H1N1 rose to five with the death of a 50-year-old man from Murungapakkam in Puducherry. He had tested positive for H1N1 at a private hospital in Puducherry.

A senior doctor in the Public Health Department said Madialagan had been admitted to a private hospital in the city recently following a kidney ailment. He had high fever and tested positive for H1N1 following which he was shifted to a private hospital in Chennai where he died on Monday.

Meanwhile, three persons tested positive for H1N1 on Monday. With this, the number of H1N1 patients has increased to 38 in Puducherry.
