Days after shutting down the shooting of a Bollywood film over the issue of foreign actors, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) now wants the police to frame the policy that regulates casting foreigners as extras. Shalini Thackeray, executive president, Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena, the MNS’s cine wing, said the party was not against foreign actors, but their illegal status. “It has been observed that those who work as extras in Bollywood do not have valid work visa, which is a violation of law,” she said.
