Music: Sahir Ludhianvi tribute

Ghazal singer Mohammed Vakil will pay tribute to legendary poet and film lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi (1921-1980). Ludhianvi’s works will be celebrated through a presentation that associates a particular raga with a corresponding raga-based film song. Born in a family of ghazal singers, Vakil made his stage debut at the age of nine. Having trained with his uncles, the well-known pair of ghazal singers, Hussain brothers, Vakil went on to win the 1998 Sa Re Ga Ma mega final. He has performed with many renowned singers of Bollywood and lent his voice in films like Veer Zara .
