2000 rupee notes worth Rs.85 lakh seized in Mumbai

The crime branch of city police on Friday seized Rs. 85 lakh cash in Rs. 2,000 notes from a person at Matunga in central Mumbai, police said.

The cash was seized by unit 5 of the crime branch from Babasaheb Ambedkar road this afternoon, Mumbai Police spokesperson Ashok Dudhe said.

A probe is underway in this regard, the officer added.
