Swachh Bharat event held

The National Service Scheme unit of Shrimathi Devkunvar Nanalal Bhatt Vaishnav College for Women, Chromepet, in co-ordination with Lions Club District 324 A1, organised a ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign, and ‘Go Green’ project walkathonawareness rally recently.

K. Sathya Ganesh, president, Lions Club of Royal Excellence, was the chief guest.

Around 400 NSS volunteers took part in the rally, which covered areas including Shanthi Nagar, Padmavathi Nagar, Radha Nagar, and Station Border Road, Chromepet.

The students distributed 500 saplings to the residents.

Dr. V. Varalakshmi, principal, was also present at the event.
