Skill India Week inaugurated

The Advanced Training Institute (ATI) organised Skill India Week to upgrade the skills of engineers on the Guindy Industrial Estate campus on Monday.

Former Indian cricket team captain Krish Srikkanth, inaugurating the five-day programme, spoke on the importance of improving one’s own technical knowledge to be able to compete in the market.

He appreciated the Directorate General of Training for organising such skill improvement programmes.

Various courses

During the two-day workshop, the participants would be informed of the various skill development courses available at the ATI to increase productivity, training in autotronics, and opportunities available in automobile engineering.

At the end of the workshop, a job fair would be held on July 13 and 14.

‘Make in India’

The Skill India Week celebration is part of a project of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to help ‘Make in India’ slogan a success by creating job-ready engineers and entrepreneurs.

C. Gobinath, CEO and founder of Taalkshop Academy, also took part in the function.
