Police have increased security in and around Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan School, K.K. Nagar, following a scare among parents about foiled attempts of kidnapping at the school.

A police officer said, “A few days ago, rumour spread that a student was allegedly approached by an autorickshaw driver while returning home. Neither the parents nor school management made any complaint. But on information from parents, we have decided to increase security to the school.”

Besides sending a strong advisory to enhance protection system for the students in and around the school, the police officers visited the school thrice and held discussion with the management.

K.K.Nagar police also advised parents on how to alert them in case of an emergency and also asked the school administration to install more closed circuit television cameras (CCTVs)

M.S.Bhaskar, Inspector of Police, K.K.Nagar said, “We increased patrolling around the school especially when children go home. We deployed our patrol vehicles and also advised the school management to take several steps to increase the security system.”
