Father, son team up again, this time for a horror film

November 27, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:48 am IST - Chennai:

After the success of Naaigal Jakkiradai, Sathyaraj and Sibiraj are coming together for another film – Jackson Durai , a horror flick set in the 1940s.

Sibiraj will play a cop who visits a village that has been rumoured to be haunted by ghosts. This is the second venture of Dharanidharan of ‘ Burma’ fame. “Initially, it was not meant to be a horror comedy. As I developed the storyline, it became a period film. What Sibiraj encounters… and how he solves the mystery forms the movie’s plot,” said Mr. Dharanidharan.

The posters with actors Sathyaraj and Rajendran in creepy make-up have already generated interest for the movie. “Comedian Karunakaran and Bindu Madhavi also have important roles. We have also roped in US-based actor Zachary to play a pivotal character,” he added. Siddharth Vipin has scored music. It is expected to hit the screens in December.
