How about a Friendship Day with your best friend beside you in your favourite ride, competing in a rally on the city roads?
The 13 edition of the Duchess All Women Car Rally, covering nearly 90 km, is scheduled to be flagged off on Sunday morning from Savera Hotel on Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai. An exclusive event for women drivers of the city, the rally, for the very first time, will host the husbands alongside their spouses in the ‘family’ category.
The rally also hosts five other categories, including the expert, regular, novice, duchess and one for owners of Audis.
Announcing the rally to media on Monday, Nina Reddy, of The Duchess Club, declared the theme for the rally 2014 as ‘Best friends forever.’
“We have had interesting and informative themes for the previous editions including Retro, Go Green, Live life Queen Size and Bring Out The Girl Child in you. As the rally falls on Friendship Day, we found the most apt theme,” Ms. Reddy added.
The entry fee per car for the rally is Rs. 1,000 and entry forms can be obtained from the office of The Duchess Club at Hotel Savera or the Madras Motor Sports Club. For more information, contact: 98412 88631.
