Three persons, including a 25-year-old woman, were murdered in separate incidents here on Sunday.

Geetha was allegedly murdered by her husband in their house near Kadugodi Market.

The police said that Geetha was married to Shankar about six years ago and both worked as house-keeping staff in a private firm.

Shankar, allegedly a chronic alcoholic, used to quarrel with Geetha frequently, suspecting her fidelity, the police said.

About 20 days ago, there was reportedly a fight between the couple and Geetha left for her parents’ house in Kadugodi along with their three daughters.

“On Sunday, Shankar went and convinced Geetha and brought her home along with one of the daughters,” a police official said.

However, the couple reportedly started fighting as soon as they reached home in the evening.

“Shankar allegedly slit her throat and stabbed her in the abdomen with a kitchen knife. Hearing her screams, the neighbours rushed her to a hospital, but she died soon,” the police said.

The Kadugodi police have registered a case and have arrested Shankar.

In another incident, Chetan Gundanna (23), a resident of Mysuru Road, and a private firm employee, was stabbed to death allegedly by three miscreants on M.M. Road over road rage.

The police have arrested Kupparaju, Puneeth and Raju in connection with the murder.

The police said that Chetan was returning home when he picked up an argument with the trio, who allegedly stabbed him and escaped, the police said.

The locals rushed him to a hospital, where he died. The Byatarayanapura police arrested the trio within a few hours of the murder.

An 18-year-old youth was stabbed to death allegedly by his friend over a trivial row in Siddapura on Sunday.
