Motorcycle rider dies in mishap, pillion rider injured

A 28-year-old motorycle rider, Vignesh, was killed and his colleague, Irshad (29) who was riding pillion sustained severe injuries when Vignesh lost control over the bike and rammed into a car near Byatarayanapura flyover in Yelahanka on Tuesday night.

The two are employees of the cargo section at Kempegowda International airport. According to the police the two hailed from Kerala and were staying in a rented house in Kogilu. They were returning home from work when the accident occurred.

Irshad was rushed to Baptist Hospital where he is in the intensive care unit. The Yelahanka traffic police have taken up a case of hit and run and are investigating.
