The HMT Machine Tools Ltd. on Thursday launched ‘Flexible Manufacturing System’ for educational and training purposes at its Jahahalli complex.
The FMS comprises CNC lathe, CNC machining centre, automated inspection cell and automated storage and retrieval system. Sub-systems include an industrial robot and conveyor systems. With the government’s focus on training of urban youth in modern manufacturing, an FMS will be a valuable asset for colleges, ITI and vocational training institutions. — Staff Reporter
